KB-Kintsugi Beauty was born from a deeply personal journey. Founder Tonna Michelle knows what it feels like to struggle with your hair, your confidence, and your sense of self. Like so many women with textured, natural hair, she spent years searching for products that truly understood her hair’s needs and a beauty culture that truly celebrated who she was.
She didn’t find it. So she built it.
Tonna created KB-Kintsugi Beauty not just as a hair care brand, but as a declaration: You are enough. Your hair is enough. Your beauty is enough — exactly as it is.
The Kintsugi Philosophy
Kintsugi (金継ぎ) is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. Rather than hiding the cracks, Kintsugi honors them — transforming what was broken into something even more beautiful and resilient than before.
